historic sites

My Old Kentucky Home.

Although Kentucky is most famous for our horses and our bourbon, there is a lot more to love about this place. Maybe you want to see carefully preserved homes;  majestic, sprawling farms, idyllic small towns; or quaint shops & cafes, let Martha know what’s on your list — or let her make some suggestions — and she’ll round out your day in the Bluegrass.

You won't believe these views.

Depending on the size of your group, you may be able to ride with Martha while she narrates the way to your destinations. She’ll give you a sense of the history of the Bluegrass region as well as an insider’s view into the culture, industry and notable people of the region. And you can kick back and take in the views.

staying in Lexington

Martha often meets visitors at their hotel/B&B to take you on a tour while you're visiting the Lexington area. She can recommend some of her favorite places if you'd like!

group & corporate

If you'd like to offer a special add-on for your group or corporate party, Martha can customize a one-of-a-kind experience for special clients. Many groups will offer a tour with Martha in conjunction with a visit to the races at historic Keeneland racetrack.

Rates and Availability

Martha works year-round, and limits clients so that she can provide a personalized experience for each of her guests.

The typical small to mid-sized group rate is $65/hour (includes planning, two-hour minimum). Please note that some farms may charge separate visitor fees; these fees will be in addition to the hourly rate.

If you are scheduling a tour to a farm that is part of Horse Country's portfolio, Martha can purchase your entrance tickets ahead of time with her preferred partner discount.

For large bus tours, Martha can be your Step On Guide. Step on Guide rates will be determined on an individual basis.
